Project Rap Rabbit.

What happens when Masaya Matsuura, the mind behind PaRappa the Rapper and Keiichi Yano of Gitaruu Man fame get together? Well a brand new rhythm-action adventure game is born of course.
Currently going by the code name Project Rap Rabbit, little is known about the new game and even less will be revealed for the remainder of the year apparently but at least we have a teaser trailer featuring a sample of the music we’ll be treated to whenever & where ever Project Rap Rabbit turns up.

Darksiders III.

Once billed as little more than a darker, edger Legend of Zelda, the Darksiders series has gone on to establish itself as so much more than just the inspiration Link & co. have lent the franchise & now as the third instalment of the series nears, publisher THQ Nordic have the chance to continue establishing Darksiders as a premier action adventure title.
Set during the events of Darksiders 2, the third game of the series promises to offer the same intense level of action and brain testing puzzles that helped establish the previous games while shaking things up a fair bit with the addition of a brand new lead character in the form of another of the Four Horsemen this time Fury.
Darksiders III will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One next year, until then here is a trailer.

Friday the 13th The Game.

Jason Voorhees is gearing up and getting ready to begin a brand new murderous rampage in just a month’s time (May 26th). Oh yes it’s true, the Crystal Lake killer is indeed head to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a game which offers gamers the chance to either take control of the axe wielding maniac himself, spanning a number of his incarnations, or a group of ill prepared campers who must kill or escape his monstrous clutches. Whether you prefer playing the predator or would be pray Friday the 13th The Game aims to offer two distinctly different play styles in hopes the players needed to insure the game remains, viable keep coming back for more. The Disney Afternoon Collection.

Capcom love reliving past glories and so too do a fair few of us so thankfully The Disney Afternoon Collection should satisfy everyone concerned as Capcom repackage and release six NES classics; Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2 and TaleSpin on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next month. All five games will feature rewind functions, online leaderboards and Boss Rush modes as well as looking all nice and shiny on your HDTV.

Sonic Forces.

Sega have yet to really nail down a successful blueprint for Sonic in the third dimension but that, for better or worse, has not stopped them trying and so here we go again.
Sonic Forces is the latest 3D outing for everyone’s favourite hedgehog and it looks much like the 3D Sonic outings which have come before it, roller-coast style stages littered with enemies, rings and all manner of distractions eager to slow the blue blur and that’s about all we know but from the looks of the first trailer there might not be much more to know anyway.
Sonic Forces will make it to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC by the year’s end according to Sega.

Deluxe Details.

While Breath of the Wild is still keeping most Switch owners busy, the shadow of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is looming large on the horizon and this week Nintendo released more information regarding the game’s additions namely the return of Double Dash!!’s Bob-omb Blast and Shine Thief mode, as well as Mario Kart Wii’s Coin Runners mode. Alongside the new modes, a few classic racers will also be joining Deluxe’s cast including King Boo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr. and Gold Mario.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be racing around the Nintendo Switch this April 28th.

Fire Pro Wrestling World.

Like Hulk Hogan coming out of retirement for one last match the Fire Pro Wrestling series just keeps going and this year the cult favourite makes its return on the PS4 & PC with Fire Pro Wrestling World, developers Spike’s twelfth Fire Pro title and one which promises to offer players old and new
To the series a wealth of match types, online, leagues and tournaments, hundreds of creations options and more than 2000 strikes & holds to crush youre opponents with. Spike have even been kind enough to issue us a trailer to tide us over till Fire Pro Wrestling World arrives later in the year.

Gaga Wrecker.


Pokémon Sun & Moon cartridges might be in the slots of countless 3DS systems right now but Pokémon isn’t the only game developers GameFreak have doing the rounds. Gaga Wrecker is a 2D action adventure which sees players explore a world ruled by machines while manipulating the junk around them into useful tools. Fire Emblem.


The Fire Emblem franchise is now firmly one of Nintendo’s big hitters, so unsurprisingly the Mario Factory have dedicated a Direct event to the franchise revealing three new Emblem titles for the 3DS, mobile devices and the Switch. Of the three titles announced Fire Emblem Heroes received the most attention unsurprisingly as it’s the first time the series will make an appearance on Android and IOS devices offering players the chance to take on a number of missions with a wealth of characters from the series’ past, a past Intelligent Systems will be looking towards for Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia, a remake of the NES’s 1982 Fire Emblem Gaiden coming to the 3DS this May. When & what form the forthcoming Switch Emblem will take however remains something Nintendo weren’t willing to reveal just yet however this direct made one thing very clear, the Fire Emblem franchise is a very important one to Nintendo these days.


Square Marvel.


Marvel are no strangers to licensing out their characters having partnered in the past with the likes of Capcom, Sega, Activision & now Square Enix who’ll take up the challenge of creating a digital Marvel universe in a deal spanning multiple years & titles starting with an Avengers game.
Developers Eidos Montreal (Deus Ex) & Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) will be tasked with creating all these shiny new Marvel titles & while it’s still far to early to see said titles in action, Square Enix have released a teaser trailer.
