Darksiders III.

Once billed as little more than a darker, edger Legend of Zelda, the Darksiders series has gone on to establish itself as so much more than just the inspiration Link & co. have lent the franchise & now as the third instalment of the series nears, publisher THQ Nordic have the chance to continue establishing Darksiders as a premier action adventure title.
Set during the events of Darksiders 2, the third game of the series promises to offer the same intense level of action and brain testing puzzles that helped establish the previous games while shaking things up a fair bit with the addition of a brand new lead character in the form of another of the Four Horsemen this time Fury.
Darksiders III will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One next year, until then here is a trailer.

Friday the 13th The Game.

Jason Voorhees is gearing up and getting ready to begin a brand new murderous rampage in just a month’s time (May 26th). Oh yes it’s true, the Crystal Lake killer is indeed head to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a game which offers gamers the chance to either take control of the axe wielding maniac himself, spanning a number of his incarnations, or a group of ill prepared campers who must kill or escape his monstrous clutches. Whether you prefer playing the predator or would be pray Friday the 13th The Game aims to offer two distinctly different play styles in hopes the players needed to insure the game remains, viable keep coming back for more. Bloodless.

In a move that really shouldn’t come as much of a shock to anyone Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Wii U edition is no more. In a statement from creator Koji Igarashi the Switch was wholly blamed for the game’s cancellation and while Mr. Igarashi was apologetic for this, foreseeable turn of events, he was also optimistic that the Switch version of Bloodstained would be worth the trouble.
Wii U backers will now have the choice of receiving either the Switch edition of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night or the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One or PC edition of the game before it’s 2018 release.

The Disney Afternoon Collection.

Capcom love reliving past glories and so too do a fair few of us so thankfully The Disney Afternoon Collection should satisfy everyone concerned as Capcom repackage and release six NES classics; Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, DuckTales 2 and TaleSpin on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next month. All five games will feature rewind functions, online leaderboards and Boss Rush modes as well as looking all nice and shiny on your HDTV.

Sonic Forces.

Sega have yet to really nail down a successful blueprint for Sonic in the third dimension but that, for better or worse, has not stopped them trying and so here we go again.
Sonic Forces is the latest 3D outing for everyone’s favourite hedgehog and it looks much like the 3D Sonic outings which have come before it, roller-coast style stages littered with enemies, rings and all manner of distractions eager to slow the blue blur and that’s about all we know but from the looks of the first trailer there might not be much more to know anyway.
Sonic Forces will make it to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC by the year’s end according to Sega.

Rime Reborn.

Back in 2013 Tequila Works announced, in conjugation with Sony, that the team was developing Rime, an Ico inspired adventure for the PS4. Four years on and Tequila Works are still hard at work on Rime however having managed to acquire the rights to Rime, lock, stock and barrel the game is now coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo Switch.
Alongside Rime reannouncement Tequila Works also gave IGN a closer look at the game and a release date of May this year.

Yooka-Laylee Avoiding U.

The Wii U’s days are numbered, you know it, I know it & it seems Playtonic Games know it as the Yooka-Laylee developers have confirmed that their highly anticipated platformer won’t be coming to the Wii U after all. Yes despite being funded via kickstarter specifically for the Wii U the Nintendo edition of Yooka-Laylee ran into, “unforeseen technical issues.” According to a statement from the developers however its far more likely the pending arrival of the Switch was the cataWii Ulyst for the game’s cancellation.
Yooka-Laylee will be released this April 11th, 2017 for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Rivalry Rekindled.

Capcom have revealed that the fourth entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series is on its way to the PC, PS4 and XOne next year. Featuring the likes of Mega Man and Captain America, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite promises to continue the refinement of the long running series while improving both the single player and online experience. Here’s a brief look at what’s in store for the game as well as a trailer.

Reborn Rivalries: Universes collide once again in this all-new crossover clash for the ages, where players select their favorite Marvel and Capcom characters and engage in accessible and action-packed 2v2 partner battles.

Infinite Power: Pulled from classic Marvel lore, unique and game-changing Infinity Stones can be implemented into players’ strategies as a way to influence the outcome of battle. It might have taken more than 20 years for a return to the Wasteland but inXile Entertainment won’t be making gamers wait quite as long for the series’ third instalment as Wasteland 3 is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux soon. Being a direct sequel to last year’s Wasteland 2, refinement over revolution is the order of the day, Wasteland 3 will however feature both a story driven signal and multiplayer mode. Drivable vehicles, environmental dangers and more fluidity overall will also play its part in making Wasteland 3 a worthy successor to its predecessors.
