Nintendo are currently riding high on a wave of Switch shaped success, success which has clearly emboldened the Mario factory to take a chance on a curious idea indeed.

Labo, best described as a cross between Goggle Cardboard & Lego, will allow Switch owners to buy flat packed kits of crafted cardboard which then comes together to form things like fishing-rods, pianos & even robots. Once built these cardboard peripherals will then be pair with Joy-Cons & used to play themed mini games on the Switch itself.
Having a hard time picturing it? Well thankfully Nintendo have released a trailer to help us wrap our mind around Labo along with pricing, Toy-Con 01 Variety Kit at $69.99 (containing two RC Cars, a fishing rod, a house, a motorbike and a piano) & Toy-Con 02 Robot Kit $79.99(containing the robot suit). Both kits will be available this
April 20th.

  1. Seventy dollars for cardboard? I had to check my calendar to make sure it wasn’t April 1st.
