Switch Goes Live.

When Nintendo unveiled the Switch they dropped the bombshell that the console would follow in the foots-steps of the Playstation & XBox requesting a fee from players to play online, details surrounding said subscription however were more than a little vague, until now that is.

Set to take full effect at some point in 2018, the Switch’s subscription plan won’t just allow players to take to the net for competitive bouts of Mario Kart 8, Arms & the like but access to a voice chat app, eShop deals and enhanced Virtual Console rentals (NES only initially) will also be included in the fee which will set you back $19.99 a year.

Expect to hear a lot more about Nintendo’s online plans in the near future.

    1. I’d much sooner not see Nintendo jumping of the subscription horse but it’s an easy buck. Still from what I’ve heard Arms is excellent online so perhaps a few titles will make it worth the asking price.
