Nintendo NX.

In less than a year Nintendo’s seventh home console, code named the NX, will launch worldwide. The news broke yesterday, entirely out of the blue at Nintendo’s annual financial briefing held in Japan where the Mario factory also revealed that, while the console itself won’t appear at this year’s E3, the next highly anticipated instalment of The Legend of Zelda series will launch on both the Wii U and the NX next year. Away from Nintendo’s next console the Big N also confirmed that their next mobile apps will centre around the Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing series.

    1. Some people are saying with both Microsoft and Sony unveiling revamped hardware at E3 the NX could be overlooked, however if Nintendo hold their own direct event later in the year all eyes will be on the NX. Its a risky tactic if you ask me.

  1. Big N seems more comfortable with their Nintendo Directs and Treehouse Events. Their showings usually get slaughtered at E3, regardless of what they do (Everyone throwing temper tantrums because they didn’t get a new Metroid, which the fans’ response I found pathetic. Not that I’m saying you should swallow every pill Nintendo gives you and like it, but sheesh).

    1. The only issues I see with the direct events is that only Nintendo fans watch them and most of them will buy whatever Nintendo put out there anyway. E3 meanwhile is a major event, that’s why Nintendo hold a direct event during it.
