I usually beat around the bush a little with these summaries, you know, I name drop a few games like Hitman, Street Fighter 5, Firewatch and Uncharted 4 before waxing lyrical about how much they impressed me. Heck I might even go on to add to that list how pleasing it was to finally see The Last Guardian in action or just how stunning Guerrilla Games’s Horizon Zero Dawn looked, but I don’t need to do any of that this time around, in this summery I in fact need to mention that Sony announced two of the most wanted games of all time at their press conference, I’m of course referring to Final Fantasy 7 The Remake and Shenmue 3 which in turn delivered in the areas Microsoft and Nintendo simply didn’t, they surprised gamers with games gamers actually want and that’s all you have to do, truly the day was Sony’s.
