WaterMelon Games, the team behind Pier Solar and Sacred Line have revealed footage of their next 16 bit effort, a self titled RPB (roleplaying beat’em up) codenamed Project Y.
Taking it’s cue from the likes of Streets of Rage and Final Fight, Project Y promises retro gamers not just an instance, side-scrolling action experience but one driven by a deep story which revolves around a group of nuclear war survivors as they struggle against gangs and corrupt corporations alike. Project Y has yet to be given a release date but WaterMelon are aiming for significant progress in development throughout the year.
