No Modders Please.

For many gamers, the biggest plus point to gaming on PC is the wealth of freely available mods which both extend and enhance the gaming experience, that said not everyone appears to a fan of this software tinkering and this week Team Ninja’s Yohei Shimbor made that all too clear, even going as far as to threaten the removal of the company’s games from the platform should the modders continue to mod the Dead or Alive series in the way they have been.

“We have to deal with mod issues from an IP holder perspective. We would like to ask PC users to play our game in good moral and manner. Otherwise, we won’t be able to release a title for PC again.”

Mr. Shimbor went on to talk up what he called the growing trend to game on PC stressing however that there was a diffidence between the way a games developer like Team Ninja chooses to depict women and what modders then do to them. If you want to hear more of Yohei Shimbor’s musings, feel free to check out the whole interview here.

  1. In a good moral manner? You mean the game that sells itself on having giant bouncing breasts?

      1. An interesting side note. The latest DLC for Fatal Frame 5 allows you to dress the protagonist in a number of skimpy outfits before taking picture’s of her. The definition of morals right there.
