While it may have began life as a Final Fantasy title (well here in the West anyway) the SaGa series not only managed to escape the long shadow of Square’s premier RPG series but it even went on to established a fan-base all of it’s own. Alas despite these dedicated fans the SaGa series has found itself as of late, like many a JRPG, shelved in favour of more big name franchises however that could very soon change.
To celebrate the SaGa series’ 25th anniversary next year, series creator Akitoshi Kawazu has confirmed that a bread new SaGa is heading the PS Vita’s way. Unfortunately Mr. Kawazu would say no more on the matter but I’m sure fans will just be glad to know a new SaGa is coming.

    1. Yeah I played it back on the PS2 for the very same reason and I’ll agree it wasn’t my favourite RPG either. That said I have recently wanted to replay it just to see if I missed something, I might when I get through a few of the games I got last week.
