Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition.

Its been known for awhile now but only just confirmed by Square Enix, Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition is coming. Scheduled for release on the PC, PS4 and XOne this October (10th in Europe and 14th in the States), the definitive edition of Sleeping Dogs will feature the original game in it’s entirety with slightly cleaner visuals and a running resolution of 1080p. A grand total of 24 DLC packs will also be included in the package some containing item collections while others feature full blown campaign expansions.
Whether or not next gen owners will be swayed by this latest in a long line of re-releases remains to be seen but a lack of new and original titles on the PS4 and XOne must be becoming a little tiresome.

  1. Great… another re-release by Square Enix. What is this the age of re-releases? We have The Last of Us, Metro, Tomb Raider, and now this too?

I guess since Sleeping Dogs is an older game it makes more sense, but damn. I want some new games to play not the same old thing.

    1. I couldn’t agree more, far too many re-releases so far this gen and its a trend I’d like to see the back of quickly. Hopefully next year they’ll begin to dry up as more original titles are released.

      1. I hope so. I don’t hate re-releasees, but releasing a game that came out just last year is obviously a cash grab.

Now if they would re-release a game like Shining Force or the original Phantasy Star than I would be all for it because we haven’t seen those games in years.

      2. Their are tons of classic games I’d love to see improved and re-released, games like Streets of Rage 2, Gunstar Heroes, Comix Zone, Super Smash TV, Snatcher and so many more besides. These yearly re-releases on the other hand really don’t merit either time or money in my opinion and as such are usually avoided.
