Classic Revival?

Long time PlayStation fans have wanted for years now to see two of the platform’s oldest stars; Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon brought back to life in a series of new platformers built around the pair however beyond the odd rumour here and a few cryptic comments there neither Spyro nor Crash have appeared in their own, stand alone adventurers for nearly five years. The boss of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House believes that could change in the future though and told the Telegraph as much.
“While rival manufacturer Nintendo has recycled many of its most successful characters and franchises, including Zelda, Pokemon and Super Mario time and time again, PlayStation has left some of it’s most beloved games unvisited. Will we see a Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon revival anytime soon?” Asked The Telegraph’s Rhiannon Williams to which Mr. House replied
“This is very dangerous ground, in concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that.”
So there it is, new outing for both Crash and Spyro could happen given the right circumstances, here’s hoping.
