Uncharted Next For Remastering?

PsNews1

How long should publishers wait before re-releasing an old game? A few years? A console generation? Never? In the case of The Last of Us Sony waited less than a year before remastering and re-releasing the game on the PS4 and if Shuhei Yoshida, PlayStation’s president of worldwide studios is to be believed more games could follow.
“Almost 50 per cent of people who have purchased a PS4 didn’t own a PS3, and that’s lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it’s a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed.” Mr. Yoshida told Eurogamer before adding “There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed. That would be a good candidate but we don’t want to flood the market with remade games either.”
So there you have it, Sony may take things slow but more re-releases are almost certainly coming and while you wait you can read Shuhei Yoshida’s full interview here.

    1. All signs suggest this gen might be the worse yet for re-releases but hopefully they’ll die down a little as this gen establishes itself and more games are created.
