Sega Gets Atlus.

It was rumoured from the very beginning but now it’s fact, Sega Sammy the parent company to Sega have, in a deal worth some 140 million dollars, acquired Index holdings the parent company of Atlus.  The deal will now see the likes of the Shin Megami Tensei, Digital Devil Saga, Persona, Etrian Odyssey, Catherine and Trauma Center series to name but a few joining Sega’s legendary
portfolio of games while at the same time allaying fears regarding the mysterious Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover some Nintendo fans feared could have been cancelled.

  1. Being a big Sega fan too, and admirer of most things Atlus (especially Persona) I heard the news and immediately thought. “Just imagine the exclusives/crossovers a new Sega console would have now.” It’s a pipe dream I know but still heartening to picture what Sega and Atlus could (and will) come up with together. If only it were on one of their own console.
