Zelda Wind Waker HD.

For those still making up their minds on whether or not to pick up a copy of Zelda Wind Waker HD upon it’s October 4th release, Nintendo have decided to offer a helping hand in convincing you with the release of a short comparison trailer pitting the GameCube original against the Wii U port. Why not take a look and, if nothing else, marvel at all the extra bloom.

Zelda Wind Waker HD.

  1. Wind Waker already looked gorgeous on the Gamecube, but after seeing it play live and in person, I was sold. It really needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate the upgrade.

  2. I thick a lot of people have already been convinced by Wind Waker even without seeing it in the flesh, so to speak and I’d imagine the bundle will really start to drive Wii U sales.

  3. It’s nice to see Zelda in full 1080p. I think a lot of people have forgotten that both the PS3 and X-Box only played the majority of their games at 720p. The difference is quite noticeable in this trailer. I think this speaks volumes about Wind Waker’s art style. While other games from that era were realistic and looked down on what Nintendo did with this game. See how this has stood the test of time shows that art beats tech.

Now that the Zelda team is more familiar with the WiiU I’m really getting excited about how the new Zelda game will look, even though I’ve never really been that interested in graphics.

  4. I think the phrase, timeless gets thrown around a lot but if Wind Waker HD has done anything it’s reminded people just how timeless the GameCube original is. Can’t wait for Zelda Wii U either.
