Fans of the Global Link features found in Pokémon Black and White will be sad to learn that Nintendo have scheduled the services closure by January 2014. The decision has been made to coincided with the release of Pokémon X & Y in October and Nintendo have confirmed that certain aspects of the current Global Link set-up, like records can be carried over to X & Y if the player re-registers with the same username when they buy the new games. Pokémon X & Y will be available globally from the 12th of October.
