Devil’s Third Lives.

Devil’s Third, the first game from Tomonobu Itagaki’s Valhalla Game Studios was originally set to hit the XBox 360, PS3 and PC this year, however after the collapse of it’s publisher THQ Devil’s Third disappeared from view, some even stating that the game had been cancelled completely. The father of Devil’s Third (and Dead or Alive) has laughed off this suggestion in a recent interview with Famitsu.
“The game is going along really well, we’re discussing things with publishers; we’re continuing to expand on and deepen the gameplay. That’s about the level we’re at.” Said Mr. Itagaki before adding. “I’m building upon the content I’ve created up to now to provide gameplay that will really surprise people, I’m not sure there’s really a game like this on consoles, and I’d like fans to know that I’m definitely building this up Itagaki-style.” As pleased as Itagaki fans will be to hear that Devil’s Third is still very much alive and kicking Tomonobu’s cryptic closing line that the game won’t be at this year’s E3 will take a little of the sheen off the good news.
“The timing isn’t right for that. It’s like we’re continuing to go along under the surface, waiting for the right timing to launch our missiles. Besides, if we revealed where we were hiding under the surface, it wouldn’t be much of a war, would it?”
