Madden Skips Wii U.

EA have confirmed that this year’s version of Madden (Madden NFL 25) won’t be made available on the Wii U.
“We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future.”
EA’s decision will mean that for the first time since 1991 Madden will skip a Nintendo platform and points to the ever worsening relationship between the publishers which, apparently all came about due to EA taking offence at the fact Nintendo won’t allow them to make Origin the launchpad for EA games on the Wii U. Famously EA also fell out with Sega during the Dreamcast era as they were unhappy with, among other things, the graphics chipset Sega had chosen for their new console.
