Wii Going Offline.

Nintendo have confirmed that as of the 28th of June a number of the Wii’s online services will no longer be available. This will include the…
Nintendo Channel.
News Channel.
Forecast Channel.
Everybody Votes Channel.
Mii Contest Channel.
Nintendo also confirmed that “The exchange of Wii messages over the Wii Message Board, the exchange of Mii characters on the Mii Channel and message/data exchange within some games will also be disabled.”

Wii Going Offline

  1. I have no interest right now in buying a Wii U but would eventually like to pick up a bunch of stuff from the Wii Store. I’m hoping that feature won’t be obsolete here soon as Nintendo starts to filter everything out =\

  2. No need to worry there. The Wii Store will remain up and running for as long as it makes money. It’s the free stuff that’ll fall by the wayside.
