Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

  1. As much as I enjoyed other Platinum Games titles, namely Bayonetta and Vanquish, I wasn’t overly impressed with MGR. Aside from having a terrible name, it was a bit too button mashy and I think Game Informer nailed it calling it “style over substance”. Blade Mode was a weak gimmick, most of the characters were uninteresting and while on-screen it looked like I was stylishly beating everything to dust, my fingers weren’t doing much of anything.
